| Except for places where this code otherwise specifies and where water protection or fire extinguishing is unsuitable, the following high-rise civil buildings or places shall be equipped with automatic fire extinguishing systems, and automatic sprinkler systems should be adopted: Class I high-rise public buildings (except swimming pools and ice rinks) and their basements and semi-basements; public activity rooms, corridors, offices and hotel guest rooms, combustible goods storage rooms, and the underside of escalators in Class II high-rise public buildings and their basements and semi-basements. Guest rooms in hotel buildings (hotels) shall be equipped with automatic sprinkler systems.
