| When fire control, communication and alarm circuits are concealed, they shall be run in metal conduits or flame-retardant rigid plastic conduits and embedded within non-combustible structural layers, with a protective cover thickness of not less than 30 mm; when surface-mounted, they shall be run in metal conduits or metal trunking with fire protection measures taken.
