| When a single-phase three-wire supply is used, the neutral conductor (N) and the protective conductor (PE) shall be strictly separated, and the neutral conductor current shall not pass through the protective conductor. In hotel buildings, guest room socket circuits shall be provided with residual current protection, with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA.
