1. RCU System Architecture and Protocol Selection
The guest room control system adopts a distributed control architecture, with the core being the RCU guest room controller host, which connects to various functional modules via KNX or RS485/MODBUS bus. The system is divided into three layers: the management layer, where the hotel management platform connects to floor servers via TCP/IP; the control layer, where RCU controllers can operate independently; and the input/output layer, comprising panels, sensors, and actuators. KNX bus advantages: point-to-point communication can be achieved without a central controller; supports three media—TP twisted pair, PL power line, and RF wireless; device addresses are freely programmable.
2. Lighting Scene and Curtain Control System Design
Guest room lighting control design follows GB 50034 "Standard for Lighting Design of Buildings" and adopts a scene control mode: Welcome scene—entry light and corridor light turn on automatically; Reading scene—bedside lamps and floor lamp; Rest scene—bedside lamps at dim light; Sleep scene—all lights off with night light retained; Night-time scene—bathroom light and footlights turn on automatically. Dimming method uses 0-10V analog dimming or DALI digital dimming, with LED luminaire dimming range of 1-100%. Motorized curtain control includes open/close curtains and roller blinds, supporting timed opening/closing, sunrise simulation wake-up function, and daylight-linked control.
3. Air Conditioning Control System and Energy Management
Guest room air conditioning control adopts fan coil unit plus fresh air system, with control contents including: temperature setting default 25°C with ±2°C tolerance; fan speed control with high/medium/low/auto four speeds; mode switching between cooling/heating/ventilation; three-speed fan and motorized water valve linkage control. Core control logic: after card insertion for power, the RCU automatically adjusts the temperature setpoint to a comfortable temperature range based on occupancy mode; after card removal, it automatically enters energy-saving mode (ECO mode), with the temperature setpoint offset to 27°C for cooling or 18°C for heating, and the fan automatically switches to low air volume.
4. Service Request System and Smart Control Integration
Service request functions include: Do Not Disturb (DND), Make Up Room (MUR), SOS emergency call, checkout reminder, etc., with status display and switching achieved through corridor display screens and in-room control panels. Service request information is uploaded to floor servers via RS485 bus, then sent through the hotel management software PMS interface to relevant departments such as Housekeeping and Engineering. Smart integration solutions: interfacing with the PMS system to achieve automatic check-in/check-out status; linkage with the elevator system to automatically call the elevator after checkout; linkage with the door lock system to display door lock status on the RCU touchscreen.
