| Monitoring and control of the cooling and heating source system shall include: start/stop staging control of chillers or heat pumps (automatic loading/unloading based on cooling/heating load); interlock control of cooling tower fans and cooling water pumps; monitoring of cooling water supply and return temperatures (e.g., cooling water supply temperature 32℃, return temperature 37℃). In hotel buildings, the cooling and heating source system should automatically switch operating modes based on outdoor temperature (e.g., free cooling via cooling towers during transition seasons).
