| Variable air volume (VAV) air-conditioning systems should monitor supply air temperature and static pressure (e.g., static pressure setpoint 250 Pa), and automatically adjust supply air volume according to room load. If VAV systems are used in large spaces such as hotel lobbies and ballrooms, static pressure sensors and variable frequency drives must be provided to control fan speed.
