| Where cables penetrate floor slabs, firewalls and partition walls, they shall be tightly sealed with firestop materials. Where cables in the hotel penetrate partition walls between guest rooms and corridors, and floor slabs between equipment floors and guest room floors, the sealing must achieve the same fire resistance rating as the building element (e.g., 1.5 h or 2.0 h).
