| **** | Water meters should be installed in locations that are accessible for maintenance and protected from exposure to sunlight, contamination, and freezing. When installing a helical-vane water meter, there should be a straight pipe section of not less than 8 times the water meter connection diameter between the meter and the valve upstream. The clear distance from the meter housing to the wall surface should be 10–30 mm; the center elevation of the water meter inlet should be per the design requirements, with an allowable deviation of ±10 mm. |
