| | Deluge systems shall be used in locations meeting any of the following conditions:<br>1. Where fire spreads rapidly horizontally and open sprinklers cannot promptly and effectively cover the fire area;<br>2. Where the indoor clear height exceeds the provisions of Section 6.1.1 of this Code and the incipient fire must be quickly extinguished;<br>3. Severe Hazard Class II locations. Large ballrooms, theater stages (if the clear height exceeds the specified limit), and certain tall spaces with special functions in hotels may require deluge systems. |
