| | **Safety gear**: The car shall be equipped with a safety gear, and its actuating speed shall not be less than 115% of the governor actuating speed, and shall not be greater than 125% of the governor actuating speed. For elevators with a rated speed greater than 0.63 m/s, progressive safety gears shall be used. |
