MEP engineering acceptance standards and quality inspection are the final gatekeepers for ensuring system functionality and reliable operation. Based on GB 50243, GB 50303, GB 50242 and the Marriott MIDS accep…

Acceptance Standard System and Hierarchy

The MEP engineering acceptance standard system consists of three levels: national standards, industry standards, and enterprise standards. Core acceptance codes include GB 50243, GB 50303, and GB 50242. The Marriott MIDS acceptance standards impose requirements on the function, performance, and visual quality of each hotel MEP system that are higher than national standards. Acceptance hierarchy: sub-item works acceptance (smallest acceptance unit), divisional works acceptance (e.g., ventilation and air conditioning works), unit works acceptance (overall MEP), and completion acceptance. Each acceptance level has a defined procedure: contractor self-inspection - supervision organization - record generation - participation of supervisory authorities.

Ventilation and Air Conditioning Works Quality Acceptance

According to GB 50243, the acceptance scope includes duct systems, water pipe systems, equipment installation, and system commissioning. Key items for duct systems: material and thickness meet requirements, flange bolt spacing not greater than 150 mm, air leakage rate test passed, insulation layer thickness meets requirements. Water pipe systems: pipe material and diameter meet requirements, non-destructive testing ratio of welded joints qualified (generally 10%, 100% for critical joints), pipe pressure test passed (1.5 times working pressure held for 24 hours). Equipment installation: foundation dimensions and strength meet requirements, levelness deviation not exceeding 1/1000. System commissioning: single-machine trial run of 2 hours without abnormality, combined trial run of 8 hours, temperature deviation not exceeding 2 degrees from design value.

Key Points of Electrical Works Acceptance

According to GB 50303, electrical acceptance includes transformer and distribution equipment, distribution lines, lighting installations, lightning protection and grounding, and intelligent building systems. Transformer and distribution equipment: transformer installation levelness and grounding meet requirements, circuit breaker breaking capacity meets design requirements, busbar connection bolt torque values meet standards. Distribution lines: cable type and routing meet design requirements, insulation resistance test passed (not less than 0.5 MΩ for low voltage). Lighting: emergency lighting continuous power supply not less than 30 minutes, illuminance meets GB 50034. Lightning protection and grounding: grounding resistance not greater than 1 Ω.

Marriott MIDS Special Acceptance Standards

Marriott MIDS acceptance is divided into three stages: design phase review, construction phase process inspection, and completion phase brand acceptance. Design review ensures the design complies with MIDS mandatory clauses; construction process inspection includes quarterly quality inspections and key process supervision; completion brand acceptance is a comprehensive inspection by the Marriott technical team. Acceptance focus: air conditioning temperature and humidity meet standards, hot water delivery time within 5 seconds, generator startup time within 15 seconds, UPS backup time over 30 minutes. MIDS acceptance uses a deduction system with a full score of 100; scores below 80 require rectification.
