Key Technical Points for Water Supply Pipe Construction
Hotel water supply pipe construction should select the corresponding connection method according to the pipe material type. Stainless steel pipes (recommended for hotel water supply systems) use double press-fit or ring press connections. Construction key points: (1) Pipe cutting should use a dedicated pipe cutter, and the end face must be flat without burrs; (2) Before press-fitting, check whether the O-ring seal is in place; (3) The pressure of the press-fitting tool must reach the specified value (usually 60-70MPa); (4) After press-fitting is completed, use a dedicated gauge to check the indentation depth. PPR pipes use hot-melt connections, with a construction temperature of 260℃ ±10℃, and heating time determined by pipe diameter (e.g., DN25 heating for 8 seconds, DN32 heating for 10 seconds). After insertion, maintain cooling for no less than 3 minutes. After pipe installation is completed, a hydrostatic test must be performed. The test pressure shall be 1.5 times the working pressure and not less than 0.6MPa, and the pressure drop shall not exceed 0.05MPa after stabilizing for 1 hour. For concealed works (such as embedded pipes), concealment may only proceed after the hydrostatic test passes.
Key Technical Points for Drainage Pipe Construction
Key points for hotel drainage pipe construction include: (1) Slope control: the minimum slope for DN100 pipes is 0.012 (design recommendation 0.02), the minimum slope for DN75 pipes is 0.015 (design recommendation 0.025), and the minimum slope for DN150 pipes is 0.007 (design recommendation 0.01). During construction, a spirit level or laser screed must be used to control pipe slope, and reverse slope is strictly prohibited; (2) Pipe connection: flexible joint cast iron pipes use stainless steel clamp connections, and UPVC pipes use adhesive or rubber ring joints. The joint area must be cleaned to ensure sealing effectiveness; (3) Riser fixing: each floor of a drainage riser shall be provided with one fixed support, with support spacing not exceeding 3m, and an angle steel bracket shall be provided at the bottom bend of the riser; (4) Bathroom drainage: same-floor drainage schemes (sunken slab type or wall-drain type) should pay attention to the continuity of the waterproofing layer and pipe slope, and the bottom of the sunken box must be provided with a secondary drainage floor drain. After drainage pipe installation is completed, a water filling test must be performed. It is acceptable when, after 15 minutes of full water, the pipe is filled again and the water level does not drop for 5 minutes.
Equipment Installation and Vibration Reduction and Noise Control Technology
During the installation of hotel water supply and drainage equipment (water pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, etc.), special attention must be paid to vibration reduction and noise control. Technical measures: (1) Rubber vibration isolation pads or spring vibration isolators shall be provided for water pump foundations, with vibration reduction efficiency not less than 90%; (2) Flexible rubber joints (length not less than 150mm) shall be provided at pump inlet and outlet pipes to reduce pipeline vibration transmission; (3) Elastic supports or vibration-damping pipe clamps shall be used for pipe supports, and flexible sleeves shall be provided where pipes pass through walls and floor slabs; (4) Variable-frequency control cabinets shall be installed away from guest room areas to reduce electromagnetic interference and noise. Equipment foundations shall be flat and solid, anchor bolts shall fit tightly against the equipment base, and equipment levelness deviation shall not exceed 1/1000. After equipment installation is completed, single-machine trial operation and linked commissioning must be carried out to check operating direction, vibration values, noise levels, and other indicators.
System Commissioning and Acceptance Management
Commissioning and acceptance of water supply and drainage systems are key links to ensure the system meets design indicators. Commissioning process: (1) Water supply system commissioning: carry out pipe network flushing zone by zone (flow velocity not less than 1.5m/s until water quality is clear), and after flushing is completed, carry out system pressure testing and terminal outlet pressure commissioning; (2) Hot water system commissioning: first flush the circulation pipeline, then set the circulation pump frequency and temperature difference control parameters, and test the hot water outlet time room by room; (3) Drainage system commissioning: check the flow capacity of drainage risers and test the ball passage rate (ball diameter not less than 2/3 of the pipe inner diameter, ball passage rate 100%); (4) Fire protection system commissioning: carry out fire water pressure tests and linkage tests zone by zone. At acceptance, complete construction documents shall be provided: drawing review records, material incoming inspection reports, concealed works acceptance records, pipeline pressure test reports, system commissioning reports, etc.
